To be installed and/or used in accordance with appropriate electrical codes

and regulations. Warning: To avoid fire, shock, or death, turn off power at

circuit breaker or fuse and test that power is off before wiring!

Caution: Use this device only with copper or copper clad wire. With

aluminum wire, use only devices marked CO/ALR.

To Install:

1. Remove the old socket and release wires from the socket.

2. If needed, restrip end of wires to expose 3/4” of copper strands. Be careful not

to damage wire strands or insulation beyond the stripped length. Twist copper

strands of each wire tightly together.

3. Mount lampholder to fixture mounting stud.

4. Loop wires clockwise 3/4 turn around terminal screws. Firmly tighten screws

over wire loops. Be sure that white or ribbed lead (or with color tracer, or with

white strands) is connected to silver terminal screw and remaining wire to brass

terminal screw. Cut off any loose strands not secure under screw head.

5. Plug in lamp or restore power at circuit breaker or fuse.

Follow these instructions exactly to maintain the polarity of a correctly

wired system.

Para instalarse y/o usarse de acuerdo con los codigos eléctricos y normas

apropiados. Advertencia: Para evitar descarga eléctrica, fuego, o muerte,

desconecte la lampara, o aparto, o interrumpa el paso de energia mediante

el interruptor de circuito o fusible. ¡Asegurese de que el circuito no esta

energizado antes de iniciar la instalacion! Precaucion: Use este producto

sólo con cable de cobre o revestido de cobre. Para cable de aluminio use

sólo productos marcados con el símbolo CO/ALR.

Para Instalar:

1. Quite el casquillo viejo y libere los cables del casquillo.

2. Si es necesario, vuelva a pelar las puntas de los alambres para exponer

9 cm de hilos de cobre. Tenga cuidado de no dañar los hilos del alambre o el

aislante más allá del largo pelado. Tuerza los

hilos de cobre de cada cable bien apretados.

3. Monte la portalámpara al tornillo de montaje

del artefacto.

4. Enrosque los alambres 3/4 de vuelta alrededor

de los tornillos terminales. Apriete los tornillos

firmemente sobre el alambre enroscado.

Conecte el conductor blanco o rayado (o con

marca de color, o con hilos blancos) al tornillo

terminal plateado y el cable restante al tornillo

terminal de latón. Corte cualquier hilo suelto que

|no esté asegurado debajo de la cabeza del

tornillo.

5. Conecte la lámpara o restablezca la energía

con el interruptor de circuitos o fusible.

sistema cableado correctamente.
